Honestly I’m probably gonna get crucified for this, but working in tech I’d say this is the attitude of most people in the industry – you just have idiots like Zuck that run the big companies that are insane when it comes to this. They hear the idea of cost-cutting and they foam at the mouth. At least that’s my experience working in small/medium sized companies. It IS a very helpful tool for efficiency. Yes, that comes with a whole host of morality issues, but I truly believe that it is here to stay forever as an efficiency tool, not as a tool to replace creativity (there’s overlap ofc but that’s my opinion simplified).
