Michelle Obama reacts to Viola Davis’ 2022 portrayal of her on ‘Baby, This is Keke Palmer.’ Viola transformed into Michelle for the Showtime series ‘The First Lady,’ co-starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson. Viola’s performance required a dialect coach, facial prosthetics and a mouthpiece but was panned by critics as ‘cringey’ and ‘distracting.’ Viola later acknowledged the ‘incredibly hurtful’ feedback.
