      Even as a kid, I thought they looked so silly; but damn it, it was still a catchy enough ad campaign that they could pull it off and I wanted to collect my favorites.

      Big Milk couldn’t get me even as a child. It stinks and tastes bad!

      I do remember these posters in our lunch room at school.

      I hated milk but I did like these ads. Though nothing tops the “Aaron Burr” TV ad directed by Michael Bay.

      As a non-american this has always been so odd to me. Like, we also got little ads about diet and health advice, but they were usually just informative and didn’t have celebrities. Except for the ones about eating fruit, we have ads for those with famous athletes where they talk about eating fruit and veg to be healthy.

      These are like, oddly sensual to me???

      The Got Milk campaign was really weird, it seemed to be to encourage people to drink milk but it seemed oddly sexual and vain with some of the copy under the celebs.

      This and the insane food pyramid are unsettling to look at with modern eyes.

      The way this campaign is just propaganda and people still don’t realize how heavily dairy is subsidized.

      The dairy and meat industry is so fucked up. Of all the things I feel nostalgia for, this weird ass marketing campaign for an exploitative industry that gets too many subsidies from taxpayers is not one.

      * after looking again and reading I guess it’s just the one with kids- looks like Melanie Griffith but she would have been older. I didn’t recognize Hayden Panaterie but with her name there I got it

      Back in the day the photographer revealed that some people have no hair on their upper lip bc of waxing which made it difficult to apply the white paint.
