      Underrated as far as Hollywood tragedies. Contemporary of Depp, Pitt, and Keanu. Just as much of a heartthrob as any of them, probably the best actor of all of them. Could have had any of their iconic roles. Big What If.

      One of the most underrated male hotties and actors of the 90s, I mourn what his film career could’ve been like. My personal favorites of his work other than Stand by Me are Dogfight and The Thing Called Love!

      How Johnny Depp got away with running a drug den for years and it being the scene of where River died, I’ll never know. Then again, he is a wife abusing PoS and we got people in here talk in about poor Brad (yes all the kids hate him because of Angie not because they witnessed their father having a drunken abusive meltdown on a plane while beating on their mother) and Amber being a liar.

      Insane.

      One of my first pop-culture crushes. If you haven’t seen Sneakers, it’s worth a look, and interesting to remember how technology was perceived in the ’90s.

      My first thought was he’s gorgeous. My second was how fashion photography was beautiful back then.

      My uncle was good friends with River; when he died, it set my uncle’s life on a pretty tragic trajectory. He’s still around but stopped working in the film industry or doing anything creative at all, which is a real shame because he made incredible art as a young man.

      All I can think about is how much better this editorial is than 99% of what I see in vogue now. Not related to his attractiveness but the quality, the lighting, composition, the FEEL. When did photoshoot quality go down?

      Oh my darling, man. He’ll remain my fav actor till the end of days. His biography, i think it was called a Short Life or something, was very difficult to sit through knowing what happened to him. i remember there was a discussion some 2 decades ago about he was silenced bcuz he was going to expose the predators in hw who introduce child stars to hard drugs. River himself was introduced to drugs by his manager who was linked to depp. i think one child actor did come out and talk about it (as well as the sexual abuse) and also said his life was at risk bcuz he exposed people. i forgot his name tho. Sorry. But the point is, we may never definitively know if the OD was premeditated. All we know is that depp was present at the Viper Room at that moment when he died. It’s one of the main reasons why i abhor that man.
