‘the cure’ by Olivia Rodrigo debuts at #1 on the Global Spotify chart with 7.21 million streams.
It also debuts at #1 on the US Spotify chart with 2.68 million streams
No shocker there. It’s Olivia Rodrigo, mega pop star lol. But a lot of people love her sad songs and given that she’ll have those in this album. I see this new single doing more better than drop dead. I also can see this album doing overall good. Maybe more better than Guts but not as good as Sour.

Her recent songs have huge debuts but no stability

it’s such a good song.

I think it’s a rather simple sad pop rock song. A pretty simple metaphor that’s been done before.
Still, I really like the song. It comes off as a classic song that will be memorable. My favorite of the three we’ve seen so far.

Such a nothingburger song. I’m also sick that her songs follow the same formula (starts slow but then explode). Maybe it’s time to do a fast song that slows down?

She should have named the album CURE. Would have worked nicely after SOUR .. GUTS.. CURE lol

It’s alright! Her first lead grew on me so maybe this one will too. I feel like there is a huge bot campaign calling this “her best song ever!” which makes no sense lol

That’s great.

And there goes the amazing streaming numbers on Spotify just right off the gate. Of course everyone out there just really did not even waste any time in enjoying the song at all just as soon as the song got released over on Spotify.
