He could be a good Bond villain.
Classic Elba gracious, self-aware, and still cooler than most actual Bonds. He’s right about the age thing, but he’d have made an incredible 007. Villain role next? Absolutely.

I think the King of England should be the next James Bond. The King of England would be a great spy because at a fancy cocktail party or political event no one would think that the King of England would be trying to be a spy. Think of how cool it would be to see a constitutional monarch bungee jumping off a dam.
Basically all of the qualities Idris Elba has are possessed by the King of England. He is old, he has an English accent, he famously has a warm and disarming personality, and he projects an aura of raw sexual power seemingly without effort. In conclusion, this is why I think the King of England should be the next James Bond.

They should make him 008 and have him play alongside James Bond in one of the next 007 movies. That would really shake everyone up on both sides of the political isle. Also, it would be a lot of fun. And make all the women swoon. Some men, too, I guess.

If Tarron Egerton hadn’t already done the kingsman he’d be a solid pick for a younger rebooted bond. Elba would’ve made a fantastic bond and so would’ve Henry cavill but new bond needs to be 35 or younger most likely.
He’s probably too old by this point to play Bond, but I would love love LOVE to see him in a future Bond film as either a villain or even M. It’d just be awesome to have him part of the franchise in any form!
