I collect Max Factor makeup, and I can tell you without a doubt that the Westmore rouge tin is NOT what is pictured in the B&W photo of Marilyn. I'm pretty sure it's a tin of Max Factor's. He made theatrical tins of lining (eye shadow) in that shape of tin, and I have a tin of "clown white" which is also in this tin. It's not hinged, it's a friction-fit tin that you twist off, and it has crimping around the top edge (a fluted edge) which you can see in the Marilyn photo. And the tin in the photo has a prominent raised ridge around the outside, halfway down the container, where the two halves meet. The Westmore rouge container does not have any of those features, and the bottom of it is slightly flared out, which is not like the tin in the photo.
Yayyyy a new video!!! Thank you Erin and Happy Birthday to the ICONIC QUEEN MARILYN MONROE!!! 🍾🥂🎂🎉
10:12 I love your earrings here!
Love this! Now we need an update dupe for Bachelor’s Carnation. The OG dupe vid used discontinued products. PLEASE! It’s so gorgeous!
Yes! Please share Marilyn’s tips & techniques! Thank you for keeping her memory strong 💜
Great vid Erin💄💅🏽

Welcome back Lady !!
You've been missed !
🎉😘❤
I enjoy how self-effacing but honest you are about how much money you spent on this stuff. No judgement whatsoever, it's really cool stuff (that hair strand!) and it's awesome that you're showing it off.
❤❤❤
So glad to see you back to long-form videos!! This made my week !😊😊
Awesome video! Sx
Yesssssss new video ❤
I love the way you look into oblivion for a moment when you mention the costs of, and the prices that you paid for these MM items. You’re a real person, that’s endearing. 💄💋
What if Marilyn Monroe used different colors of lipstick — like red in the ’50s and orange in the ’60s?
Thank you so much for giving us more information on Marilyn's iconic make up. I believe that there is a receipt for the violet eye shadow as well, on Julien's Auctions I found a receipt from a Jurgenson's pharmacy store, Marilyn had gone there in I think November of 1959 and purchased a Revlon eye shadow stick. The packaging also matches their "Eye Makers a la Carte" product line that they released earlier in that same year to update their eye makeup selections.
Take us along! Please!
Omg!!!!!! that blush is everything!!!!!!!!💕
yess long form Erin is back !
A LONG ERIN VIDEOOOOO ❤❤❤❤❤❤
22:46 the blush looks so much like Cubic by MAC, my absolute favourite blush which is sadly discontinued. 🥲 If anyone has a dupe please let me know!
Was literally just rewatching your old videos yesterday!
Once you said it was Lisa that got the lipstick, I breathed a sigh of relief. The two people in the world I would trust with Marilyn's legacy! Thank you for your passion and taking us on this journey!
So much admiration and respect for Erin, being such a dedicated and knowledgable fan/collector of Marilyn paraphernalia. Thank you for sharing!
Since she mentioned it briefly, I am so curious to know Erin's thoughts on Kim K desecrating Marilyn's dresses at the Met Gala😗.
Great video, as always!
PLEASE PLEASE MORE Marilyn videos. Lifelong fan here and I get so excited listening to you and your knowledge and seeing your enthusiasm (and collections of everything). Another amazing video from my FAVORITE makeup historian 🎨
The best thing I love about Marilyn is her acceptance of other races… I love that about her.. my favorite thing… & .. If I ever hit the lotto, I won’t tell you… but they’ll be signs…like a huge homeless furbaby farm & collectibles… from the movie stars..Marlena, Marilyn, Joan ( Rivers & Crawford), etc..
Thanks for this amazing video !!!
Dear Erin,
Thank you soo much for your excellent research. MARILYN MONROE was way ahead of her time & so very special. Always look forward to your next review.
Someone get this woman a proper microphone 🎙️
Ahhh I love that you're talking about the auctions!!! I always go look the item up but this discussion is so much better!
George Masters did my mother’s hair once back in the day. She’s passed so I can’t ask for more details but she was a model in the 60s,and that’s when he did it ❤ As a huge Marilyn fan ho can’t go to LA…. I’m living for this content Erin❤❤
yes!! i’ve missed your long form and Marilyn content!
A comment to appease the 💫 algorithm 💫
I was waiting for you to post on this……. I’m hoping to see your haul after the auction 💕👀
Your passion for vintage makeup and in particular for Marilyn is incredible–and one of the reasons why you have such a great collection. One thing that stayed with me from this video is that Marilyn (at least it seems to me) overall did her makeup with a light hand. I can't wait for your next video detailing her techniques–as a makeup novice and a blonde, I think it will be very helpful.
If you do indeed find a dupe for pink spark, let us know!!!!
Thanks for all of this information.
3:51 looks like they didn't wind it down fully before putting the lid on? (guilty!)
