    1. To not be afraid, to appreciate mistakes, is such a powerful focus to help move us forward in life. It is difficult though, to transition from an obedient survivor in a harsh and confusing environment, into a person who increasingly trusts themselves. It's a slow transition, that ppl exactly stop because they let these harsh voices they carry around take the inner microphone when we mess up. A trick I've found, is to acknowledge the good intent in that inner critic (no small thing I know). It has this secondary effect of putting our attention on a higher plane; by acknowledging the value of the critic, we elevate our attention beyond the critic. And that is a little thing that begins the process of appreciating too that mistakes are beneficial.

    3. I can’t watch Natalie Portman without thinking about the bloopers real in that Garden State en movie years ago… she’s classic

    4. I completely agree with Natalie that making mistakes is the most important thing we can learn to embrace. But, I do think fear is a natural and useful human emotion. That's why I like the saying: Feel the fear, and do it anyway.
