Why would someone whose news organization is already under scrutiny for pro-MAGA bias make this pro-MAGA move?

One reason (among many) why I now ignore the CBS news.
The Late Show was literally the only thing I watched on CBS. Now that it’s gone, that channel is as good as nonexistent to me.

CBS and its affiliates can go to hell.
The ratings for CBS Mornings will tank even further, with the end of The Late Show. I think CBS underestimated the benefits of having a late night show with strong ratings (The Late Show had the most viewers of any of the network broadcasts…) When people have the channel set in the evenings, they would often leave it on the same channel, so when they turned it on in the morning, they would see CBS Mornings. Many people will change the channel, if they prefer another show; however, there is a certain percentage who don’t make a distinction between the morning shows and will just watch whatever news is on. CBS, already hurting in the ratings, will lose those viewers.
CBS is dead to me.
Nobody gives a flying shit what Tom Crybaby thinks. Millions do care what Stephen Colbert is getting up to, what his sharp wit’s pointed at.
CBS continues to shoot themselves in the foot, up to their ignorant, Trump-supporting gobs.
