The Mummy: Where’s The Original Cast Now & Who’s Back for Mummy 4?
The Mummy 4 may be correcting the franchise’s biggest mistake by bringing the original cast back together.
Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, and John Hannah are returning, and that changes everything about this sequel.
For years, fans have argued that the heart of The Mummy franchise wasn’t the monsters, the curses, or even Imhotep. It was the chemistry between Rick O’Connell, Evelyn Carnahan, and Jonathan Carnahan. Now, more than two decades after The Mummy Returns, that original team is reportedly reuniting for a new adventure.
In this video, we explore why Brendan Fraser’s Oscar-winning comeback makes this project especially meaningful, how Rachel Weisz became one of Hollywood’s most respected actors after leaving the franchise, and why John Hannah remains one of the series’ most beloved secret weapons.
We also break down reports about returning characters, the latest production details, and why Radio Silence could be the perfect filmmakers to balance horror, action, comedy, and adventure. From practical locations in Morocco to a story that reportedly ignores Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, this sequel appears focused on recapturing what made the original movies special.
Could The Mummy 4 finally deliver the ending this franchise never got? Here’s why fans have every reason to be optimistic.

I'm looking forward to as many of the original actors as possible. May they all be there!

They all are 25 years older. It tend to change people.
somehow Imhotep returned
They should make a new movie of the mummy meet cowboy mummy or native American mummy
I'm glad to see Brendan Fraser reprising the role.
Hey from South Africa here
Arnold Vosloo has actually done quite a number of local shows and films here.
Mostly in Afrikaans
I was privileged to work on a set here on one of the projects he did.
I can't wait to see the big three together again
Am curious how they're gonna write in Arnold again.
Time will tell
I'm definitely going to watch this movie in cinema hall,
Rick oconnel is my favourite character in the mummy franchise 😢😢😢 his style of walking, behaviour, pickup guns, waving sword, talk, fire the stick with his chin, everything he's my first love from my childhood,
❤❤❤❤
Hopefully they don’t just tear down the original cast to make way for the young blood like they do in every other reboot.
So one of the main reasons Fraiser wasn't seen in film os because he claimed sexual assault by a powerful man in the film industry and as a result he was blackballed. Why didn't you mention that? I think that is an important reason we didn't see him . I refuse to subscribe to your soft sell YouTube you sell out.
Oh my my my my my 🔥
Do we know if Rick or Evie have any relatives that have not been introduced to the franchise yet? We know Evie's parents are dead but are Rick's still alive? Do each have brothers or sisters? I could see like a Keira Knightley playing Evie's sister for example.
I can’t wait!!!!
The third film is Hollywood bowing to Chinese preasure; trying to capture a market with very limited slots for western movies. It is very prevailent during that time at afterwards.
