When Madonna tells you to put your phone down you listen.
I’m sick of the phones at concerts. If you want a clip of your favorite song, great, but recording the entire time is stupid.
If you watched the show through your recording screen, trying to keep the band steady and in frame for 90 minutes, did you really watch the show at all?
Maybe they’re just checking the time to see how late she is.
Didn’t she have her iPad out during the entire performance of Hamilton? 😂 love her though.

I probably take my phone out and record a little bit here and there for an IG story and stuff but that’s about it. People that constantly record are weird. Just enjoy the show.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s one thing to get a few photos and a video or two, but spending your entire concert holding your phone up to record is just so stupid. How many times do you really go back and watch a 15 second clip of a performance?

I took my 5 year old to the descendants/zombies world tour in the fall and not only was that the loudest concert ive ever been to in all my 35 years the youths were living in the moment and I loved that for them. Like using actual glowsticks and overpriced lightsticks instead of their phones and just vibes.

i wonder how everyone is going to tear apart this normal statement
I understand wanting to record these moments but also let’s live in the moment A bit. I feel like specifically at concerts it’s such an event meant for you to connect with the artist and their music. I feel like sometimes phones take away from that esp when you’re filming like 5000 snaps instead of enjoying the show.

More artists should just ban phones like Ghost did during their last tour. It was one of the best shows I’ve been to, everyone was just focusing on the band and into the music.
People can’t though bc they need to make sure they have enough content to upload to tell everyone about the thing they are “seeing”
