I’m an American but born elsewhere. It’s tough to convey how much soccer/football means to immigrants and how amazing the footballing community can be. It’s truly the sport of the people. World Cup is like Summer 2026 Pokémon GO! levels of joy for much of the world but once every four years. But like everything they’re making it super expensive for fans. So if you can’t watch in person, go to any pub: atmosphere will be enjoyable.
