      A lot of public figures talk about helping children. She spent her day with them.

      i love ms rachel and think she does wonderful work, but i honestly don’t think even if the people responsible for this saw the children crying they wouldn’t do a single thing differently. they aren’t their children, and, maybe more importantly, they don’t *look* like their children. they do not care.

      i get that that is probably the antithesis of her entire message, but i think it’s something we need
      to acknowledge. they are aware of the suffering. in their minds, they deserve it, too. the cruelty is always the point.

      core civic has a social media account and they are trying to spin the narrative in miss rachel’s instagram comments.

      they are quite literally posting pictures of fake jail meals to pretend they aren’t running inhumane concentration camps. it is so fucking dystopian.

      i don’t know a single thing about ms rachel besides the fact that she has FIRE toys for me to get for my niece and also she’s an incredible and wonderful person

      She and LeVar Burton are the closest we have to the wonderful Mr. Rogers. I really hope people are moved by this to help.
