    2. Why is everyone talking about distrust and privacy, its there front drive way, and if you were at work having to leave your kids at home wouldn't you want to be able to check on your kids somehow??

    3. damn, didn't know this was controversial. I'm seeing two arguments.

      the "it's normal" argument. parents watching their kids, even if the kid doesn't know it, is not weird. inclusive of most situations, with obvious exclusions.

      the "it's weird" argument. the parents should not watch their kids if their kids don't know it.

      personally? i think that if the kid has the capability of not wanting the possibility of being watched at any time, then their wishes should be respected. i don't care if they are an adult or not, they are human with their own wishes and values. for a parent to infringe on this, knowing and disregarding their child's preferences, is wrong of them.
