Girl Meets World Creator Allegedly Made Sabrina Carpenter, More Cry | E! News

While ‘Girl Meets World’ helped launch the careers of Sabrina Carpenter and Rowan Blanchard, the actresses allegedly had a rough start to the show. That’s according to ‘Girl Meets World’ producer Frank Pace who explained that creator Michael Jacobs had “reamed” them at the first table read. “Michael was horrible,” Pace explained to Danielle Fishel in an interview in the ‘Doc Meets World’ documentary, per Variety. “He just reamed all the young cast. He didn’t think they upheld the tradition of Boy Meets World and Rowan was crying, and Sabrina was crying.” E! News reached out to Jacobs’ attorney for comment but has not heard back. ‘Doc Meets World’ follows Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle as they came together to create their podcast ‘Pod Meets World’ in 2022 and looked back at their upbringings on ‘Boy Meets World.’ Full Story: https://www.eonline.com/news/1432847/girl-meets-world-exec-allegedly-made-sabrina-carpenter-rowan-blanchard-cry

    1. It wasn't bad enough to leave the show. Is Topanga so desperate for money that she actually did a documentary on a teen show from like 25 years ago? It wasn't even a hit show and she wasn't even the star. There's more dignity in doing OF as a washed up has-been teen actress from the 90s than this.

    2. Usually, I’m pretty outspoken about how I feel when a Disney Channel actor tries to quickly switch to more serious roles without having the necessary experience and versatility to really shine in those parts. But if Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter decided to leave Disney and find work elsewhere for a safer environment after Michael Jacobs made them cry, I totally understand.

I’m really taken aback by the terrible abuse allegations against Michael Jacobs. Boy Meets World is a perfect example of what a genuine sitcom should be, and if Michael’s abusive actions are why Ben Savage wants to separate himself from the cast, then I can’t blame him at all.

    3. Many executive producers often overlook the fact that a lot of young actors cast in their TV shows and films come from difficult, troubled, and abusive backgrounds. Over the next decade, I hope to see these actors, directors, producers, and executives step up their game as parental figures, offering these kids the moral support and guidance they might be missing.

    4. i think ben savage is trying to move foward in life and not look back and be stuck there while the rest are staying in the past regarding one show

    5. Honestly, it makes me really sad to hear about the abusive work environments on Disney Channel. 18 years ago, when I was just 13, I dreamed of being in a Disney Channel show. I thought that acting could help me connect with others since I struggle with socializing due to my Cerebral Palsy. Sadly, my mom realized that managing my career was a big responsibility, and things got even tougher when my high school wouldn’t provide the accommodations I needed to take acting classes because of my disability.

    6. I understand you wanted to revamp it for a whole new generation. But these are young kids, so trying to have them live up to the expectation of a show that existed before they were born, and making Them feel bad because they can't live up to it that's not okay

    7. The show was mad by a far right nut Job they had an EP where they acted like being an atheist or having a single mom or having ADHD was a crime oh and that pro grooming ep
