Zara is in an interesting postiion, because her contract with Epic just ended, and she’s shopping around. Apparently (or at least according to the leaks to Hits… which might be from her management!) she’s getting offered bags, and is looking to move.

Thank god color is coming back. I’m tired of the clean girl aesthetic and the slick back buns, it’s boring! More of this please!

No hate to Zara, Midnight Sun is a banger, but as a rapidly aging millennial her ascetic gives me PTSD.

I just love when people pick brand deals that make sense. This makes sense to me. Kim K wearing Skechers does not.

    5. She is so fucking cute. Only she can do nostalgia without making it look tacky. Love this little Swede princess!

I love this for Zara! She’s finally become the pop princess she’s always meant to be. i’m just so glad she’s finally getting some recognition for her talent.

This is giving Ed Hardy vibes and, as a millennial, I’m okay with that.

I guess I’m the only one who didn’t miss Y2K fashion even slightly

I hate this hideous 2000s reboot, I swear. It was bad then and it’s bad now.

Can someone explain the whiskers? i have no idea what’s happening with those 🐭

    11. Naruto?

Super cute! But the whiskers and the yellow hair immediately makes me think of Naruto

I love this so much and want more of it! YAY for color and fun details in everyday clothing!

    13. Sad I can’t post the screengrab of Grace & Frankie ‘you look like a kitty’

    14. I am not ready to return to the y2ks fashion-supported body image/fatphobia culture

Swede here! The whiskers are a nod to mid-2000s teenager trend in Sweden called “fjortis” (stemming from the Swedish word for fourteen). Often accompanied by white lips (using idomin), dark foundation and bleach blonde, teased hair. Very fun nod to her being Swedish. Google for pictures 🙂

This whole phase has made me reconnect with my girl-ness. I haven’t worn color and “girly” clothes since I was a kid (I typically like darker more mature clothes)…it’s been really fun to wear all this stuff I saw growing up and couldn’t at the time! So fun

Not sure how I feel about the makeup and styling but I’m a Zara fan! She deserves this!

Yes please bring back fitted jeans that are a sane level of low rise 😭.

Im tired of looking pregnant in high rise fitted and dont want to dress like I did as a child in HS in overly large giant pants at all times.

Omg are those skinny jeans I see??? Are they finally coming back???? I live in a rainy climate and I’m short so I cannoooottt deal with all jeans being flared nowadays.

I’m not gonna lie, the anachronistic and inaccurate Y2K aesthetic nostalgia is really starting to get played out IMO
