Call me dumb but I learnt men can get breast
cancer from watching Archer. So the education on it as a whole just isn’t great.
Good for Tyler.

This is huge. Men’s breast cancer is usually deadly, because as he said, men tend to not seek a diagnosis till it’s in the late stages. With breast cancer for anyone, early detection is key.

In the U.S., Black men have both the highest incidence (1.9 per 100,000) and mortality rates compared to other racial and ethnic groups. I hope it makes an impact on men so they will be more aware.

My uncle had breast cancer too, it’s shocking how wildly unknown it is that men can get it too.

It is good advice for everyone; check your body for growths and changes.

A personal fact, I actually learned men could get breast cancer and how to detect the cancer from the Kdrama Jealousy Incarnate from a decade ago.

The premise seems off to me. I had a slight case of gynecomastia (rare side effect of a pretty ordinary neuropathy drug), and you bet your ass I had no problem at all about getting a biopsy when I felt a lump.
I think lack of access to medical care is probably a far greater problem than stigma.

There’s a few men active in the breast cancer sub (I’m a bc patient myself) doing the lord’s work to break the stigma. I’m here for it, and also for this!

Bless this man for speaking up about going through something so scary and so wrongfully stigmatized. I wish him a quick recovery and all the best going forward.
There’s nothing unmasculine about having a disease or getting treatment for it. Don’t care what disease it is. Take care of yourselves brothers, you deserve it.
