I was wondering why Tina fey and her wig have been at all the games. That would be a disgusting amount of money.

While I love to rag on celebrities for being entitled, this is not being entitled. This is no different than your Uncle Bob and Aunt Barbara giving you tickets to see the game. The Knicks [as a team] are spending their money to give tickets to Stiller, who’s a massive fan. Sure, he can absolutely afford them, but this is more of a gift for being a massive fan.

    3. Anyone calling him entitled over this would gladly accept free courtside tickets to the team they love. It’s literally called celebrity row because as a marketing push you can see celebrities at the game.

What’s next cute attractive women getting free tickets ? 🤔

      >ESPN host Charles Barkley asked the Hollywood star, “How long have you actually been a season-ticket holder?”
Stiller simply replied, “I don’t have a season ticket. I just get the tickets. The celebrities… [the Knicks] give us the tickets.”

At least he’s being honest. The Knicks wanna promote their brand, and they know shots of celebs on the court make it seem cool to be there.

    6. It always has been so odd that celebs get free stuff. But also I really don’t care that they are going to a game. Ben, Spike, Tracy has been fans forever and NOT just because they are winning. They are to NY what Jack Nicholson and Dyann Cannon was to LA.

    7. Wouldn’t it be actually entitled if he ASKED for free tickets? They offers them. Who would say no?

I mean it’s not his or their fault, the NBA/MSG is giving them the free tickets.
Which isn’t new, every company does this they give Celebs/Rich people free things as a way to promote their thing. And the thing they are promoting now is the NBA.

Shoot if I was in his shoes I too would accept the free tickets.

He’s got a movie coming out. Everyone you see in the front row is there to put their face in your head for later.

Who’s expecting him to turn them down or say ‘I’d rather pay’?

    11. Reminds me of the scene in The Other Guys when Steve Coogan’s character is trying to bribe Ferrell and Wahlberg with courtside Knicks tickets.

Why are we acting like they were lame influencers who went to msg and said “give me free tickets and I’ll promote the Knicks?”

      It’s kind of the opposite.

Oh my goodness! Celebrities get free stuff? I’m rattled!! Wait till you find out about the, like 40K gift bag they get for presenting at the Oscars.

Musk became a trillionaire today. This guy receiving relative peanuts doesn’t matter

    15. Okay. What major sporting event hasn’t done this? Seems a little late to be concerned about the access and reach the wealthy and famous have.

      >A second commented, “The richer you are, the less money you have to spend on things. Totally convoluted,” while a third added: “Man, aren’t they embarrassed though?”

uh, nope, no they are not.

I dont have a problem with teams giving celebs free tickets as long as they are actual fans of the team , most are there just to be seen and probably couldnt name 3 players on the team

    18. The increase in costs of games isn’t anything new. I remember all the reporting hoopla when the Lakers/Celtics made the finals back in 2010 and how at that time the prices were bonkers lol so it’s no surprise that 15yrs later in New York City they’re as much as they are.

With that said and as much talk about them, maybe the NBA takes some action moving forward where they holdout a number of seats and do a raffle for fans. They can find some way to compensate owners or add it into other agreements and whatnot but yeah…NFL too because it’s time as your regular fan is never going to be able to afford the 5-figure amounts without going into some serious debt.

    19. This is a form of advertising expense. People get worked up for the dumbest things that they don’t understand.

    20. Aggravating_Smell on

Any sports fans find the celebs courtside at the games the least interesting part of the series. But it’s fucked up if they’re attending for free, they’re not making the league or the Knicks more money. Nobody is actually tuning in to see who’s there, that’s bull. They’re just checking Instagram to see who’s there.

    21. ZealousWolf1994 on

MSG always invites celebrities to their “Celebrity Row”, even during the regular season.

    22. BustinMakesMeFeelMeh on

Ben Stiller is one of the biggest wankers on the planet, regardless of this. Everyone who knows him hates him. He has no friends and few colleagues who will work with him more than once. Fuck that guy.

    23. _Badwulf_Bruh__ on

Ben has always been a legitimate Knicks
       fan. This is a non-issueÂ
