I wonder if the settlement covered this – he waived his right to appeal because of it iirc.

There’s plenty of people who still want to put her in the wrong for filing in the first place, and denying that anything really happened, but part of the reason why so many of her claims were dismissed was because of the law that says she was essentially a contract employee and not a full-time W-2 employee and that is something that exposes something we should be telling our representatives we want to see fixed because anyone in any sort of employment scenario should be protected against misconduct and abuse and harassment, even if they are not a standard full-time W-2 employee.
But getting her legal fees covered is definitely a win, especially given how much they cost.

I always thought that it’s impossible for the general public to have a nuanced opinion when a famous man is involved in a court case, but in this case he wasn’t even that famous. He has a rabid fanbase BECAUSE he had a lawsuit filed against him, which is even crazier. women really can’t win.

Happy to hear! The things that came out, including stuff he leaked himself, was horrifying. He was incredibly inappropriate and it sucks because this is how women get treated in the world alllll the time.

Good for her. Regardless of what I think of her (spoiler: it ain’t much), this is the least the court could do.
Side note, who the fuck picked this picture for the article? I’m sure there are other photos of them together that don’t involve her looking romantically into the eyes of the actor who sexually harassed her.

I cannot imagine what it took to hang on in this public smear campaign. Truly happy to hear this news.

I forget, what happened between the two of them?

Baldoni hiring TAG PR connects this case to other instances where people, often women (Amber Heard, Amanda Ghost et al), have been smeared and vilified across social media, including Reddit. I honestly just assume bot now when I see some of the really dumb takes about this case on this website.

Unfortunately, the only lawyer’s fees that she can get are from the defamation suit he filed that was dismissed. Not the whole thing. Sigh. The judge refused damages too. Wtf
