I still don’t have the words to explain to non-Canadians just how weird this feels. You would think that after months of seeing them together we get used to it but it’s still as surreal as the first time.
Well I’m not Canadian but I’m pretty damn sure our Kiwi cousins would be super pissed if an ex-PM of theirs pulled a stunt like this.
Even if he was dating Kylie.
I don’t like her and I dont particularly like him but there’s a pot for every lid and who am I to judge love?
He’s done his time as PM, I don’t think Justin Trudeau needs to respond to comments about him gallivanting with his popstar girlfriend to FIFA, when she was performing there. He just lives in a different delulu reality than the rest of us and I think that’s ok lol
I know they’re controversial but they’re weirdly great together? Such an odd pair but they seem very happy and in love so good for them

Sorry but the current US administration is threatening Canada’s sovereignty. Sometimes boyfriend duty can take a back seat to just standing for your country and ideals. This man has been such a disappointment as a Canadian.

I never would have guessed I’d be genuinely cheering on the dork love that is Trudeau and Perry. They seem to truly be the pineapple to the others pizza.
Usually when leaders of countries step down they become weirdly human (thinking of the Michelle Obama and George W Bush friendship here), how has Trudeau managed to do the exact opposite?

He’s no longer PM so I don’t see the big deal? Even if he was, his significant other was performing, so of course he’s be there.
I’m seeing a lot of comments supporting him and people saying its not that big a deal.
Guys, he literally *planned* this World Cup for his country, we put in the joint bid during his term. It was in 2017-18 when he was PM. He was Prime Minister for almost ten years.
And he’s been dating her for like less than a year and I am sure she would have had no problems with him going to the Canada one instead.
I can damn well be annoyed at him shirking something that while it may not be a responsibility anymore, he’s not being as openly proud of Canada in the world cup as he should be.
If we were a soccer nation like half the world, a move like this would make him so unpopular.
