    1. Putting this kind of music over a video of yourself crying to post on the internet is so… 🫩

That said, been there.. hope she feels better soon.

Jen is AMAZING. Like, I absolutely hate the majority of the nursing influencers, but Jen? Jen is fantastic.

This is not Jen. She is not attention seeking – she is funny, caring, and just an all around good person. This tells me she is REALLY hurting.

I have never understood filming yourself crying and posting it online. Especially not editing it with a sad song playing in the background. I’d personally rather be quartered.

Don’t let a man with Lord Farquad hair make you cry when you have a New York Times Bestseller, girl.

I really love her content but as with all celebrities- it’s really not that serious to your fans. It’s okay to not upload the worst (or best!) moments- please live in those moments offline with your family and friends. It’s what the rest of us do at work!

I’m actually shocked. I love her content. I’m really heart broken for her. She’s always talked so fondly about him. I guess we never know what truly goes on behind closed doors

    7. Would I personally film myself crying, add music, and post it to the social media for millions to see? Probably not. Am I going to judge someone else for doing something that seemingly makes them feel better or less alone in one of their lowest moments? Also no.

That’s a lot to carry while being online too. Breakups hit differently when it’s all public like that.

    9. Sometimes I think I must live under a rock because I don’t know much about these influencers. They just don’t interest me.

I’m pretty openly anti-influencer/crying videos but Jen seems like a diamond in the rough and I don’t think this is the curated attention-seeking other commenters are saying. It wouldn’t surprise me if this was a not-so-PR-friendly “holy shit my life just exploded what do i do” attempt to get ahead of what seems like an impending divorce. I can’t really blame her for posting this 🤷‍♀️ (also Tiktok/ig like to suggest/add music to your videos so is the music a conscious choice? I dunno)

(apparently her husband has cheated in the past so also wouldn’t be surprised if this is what she’s dealing with)

I’d be so embarrassed to even let an ex know I was that hard up for them after being dumped. She’s brave for sure.

It times like these when maybe, you shouldn’t post? Just focus on yourself, perhaps? 😬

I was also blindsided by a divorce and I never ever ever ever ever would have posted something like this. I feel so bad for her but I don’t see how this helps. It’s really embarassing.

get yourself together and come back without this crying mess. can’t stand when people turn on the camera to their sobbing faces when it’s their choice on when to hit record, how to edit and what to post. get it together!

    15. Why do people out themselves on social media with private matters. It’s so cringey dude.

    16. I don’t know who she is and I am not sure why her divorce requires an announcement post? It’s really sad that we have become a world where this kind of post is either expected or entertainment for others.

Whoever she is I hope she finds peace soon.

    17. She does invaluable works for women who are interacting with the healthcare system especially relating to labor and delivery, and especially brings attention to BIPOC experiences. She stands against fundamentalist Christian values and in support of women’s rights, even when they try and get her fired for it. And she uses the influence she has to educate and help people.

You don’t have to care, but a lot of people do care about her and her life, because she has been a positive influence in a lot of people’s lives and women’s healthcare conversations.

And she has pet house chickens. Don’t discount the bond people will make with the owner of a [blind] pet house chicken.

Idk, I’m not about to judge someone on what is, essentially, one of their worst days.

    18. The post has been deleted on TikTok. Hopefully the catharsis of posting it and the support she received brought her a measure of comfort, even if she second guessed herself in putting it out there.

    19. Idk who she even is but i cannot imagine being in a position where i sort of have to acknowledge my divorce on a public platform like this. I always think about it when celebrities announce a split. I forget who is was but in this last year i saw a celebrity make a statement on insta about her divorce because she wanted to put it out there herself instead of letting the gossip mills do their thing. It’s insane. Like, i don’t want to be publicly announcing any of that lmfao

The human part of me really feels for her, the cynical internet fatigued part of me thinks this is being posted as part one of a video that’ll be posted next year titled “healed and living my best life”
