he’s not in hot water lol. That would mean he’s in legal trouble or something. People will forget about this is in a couple days

Oh please. Fans are so exhausting, pretending to not recognize that putting on a show is entirely different than watching one. What do they want, him to either perform or be bedridden?

i literally thought he fell in a warm pool after attending the cup and before his concert (thought he caught a cold or broke a hip)

Rod lives for Scottish football, he would have gone even if he was supposed to be in intensive care.

Yall remember when Chappell Roan cancelled a show to perform at the VMAs and people on the internet criticized her for weeks about cancelling shows to go to an awards show.
Weird that Rod Stewart gets a pass.
Edit- I was specifically referring to people commenting. Which is why I said “people on the internet.” Not fans going to the show, random people who aren’t affected. Comments here are giving him a pass, they didn’t do the same to Chappell Roan, random strangers unaffected by her cancellations were calling her ungrateful and undeserving.

Not a fan of Rod, but his fans paid for gig tickets, possibly also travel and hotel. They may have used holiday days up.
They can’t be feeling great right now.

And I read such a nice article about him in the AARP magazine. What’s up, Rod?
However. Watching the game is much less strenuous than performing a concert for an 80 year old.

If he was sick so he couldn’t sing then that doesn’t mean he can’t see a match but I would expect him to let the fans know its cancelled ASAP

If I bought tickets to see an 81 year old perform it would be with the understanding that there is a very good chance the show may not happen.
It sucks for the fans but if an 81 year old woke up and decided they didn’t have the energy to go to their sedentary office job I would understand. Putting on a concert is way more difficult than sitting in the stands.
