Last fall, John Mulaney called his shot: He’d become the first comedian to headline Wrigley Field, home of the Chicago Cubs. And now, he’s become the first to sell out the 40,000+ seat ballpark.

It’s weird when someone starts getting crazy popular when you’ve liked them for a long time but you’re starting to wish they’d go away.

The more he talked in that weird LA-focused show he did, the less I wanted to listen.

Could not sell out a small outdoor venue in my city. Tickets were too expensive and indoor is best for comedy.

But according to Reddit, no one likes John Mulaney anymore!

This shows how Reddit and the internet aren’t real life.

it makes it even more impressive when you remember how unfunny he is

    5. I was at his show for Netflix last month at the Hollywood Bowl. He did a 2 hour set(!!!) and it was perhaps the funniest stand up set I’ve ever seen. All his specials have been endlessly quotable and this new one actually tops them. When his career’s over, I really believe he’s going to be looked back on as one of the all-time greats alongside Carlin and Pryor.
