Daveigh Chase, Star of The Ring and Lilo & Stitch, Dead at 35 | E! News
Daveigh Chase, known for her roles in films like Donnie Darko and Spirited Away, died June 16 at 35, following a battle with meningitis and a blood infection, according to her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez who told TMZ. According to Hernandez, Chase’s blood infection had developed into sepsis, with her organs ultimately shutting down. He also noted that the actressโwho voiced Lilo in 2002’s Lilo & Stitchโhad also been admitted to a hospital earlier in the month due to malnutrition. Chase began her acting career at age 8 with a minor role in Sabrina the Teenage Witch before going on to star in projects like Donnie Darko and Big Love. She last appeared in 2016’s American Romance alongside Nolan Gerard Funk and Jack Goes Home with Nikki Reed before stepping out of the spotlight. That is way too young to die. Daveigh Chase must have had the more serious version, either Fungal meningitis or carcinomatous meningitis to have been killed. My prayers go out to anyone who was a friend or family. Also, hope she is at peace, what an unimaginable loss.

I really hope Disney dedicates the upcoming live action Lilo & Stitch sequel to her memory. I trust Chris Sanders to fix the sequel by making Jumba redeem himself and joins the Oโhana, add Captain Gantu (asks Terry Crews to play him) and Angel (maybe ask Emma Stone), add some more Elvisโ songs like Jailhouse Rock, Blue Suede Shoes, If I Can Dream, In The Ghetto, A Little Less Conversation, Unchained Melody, and a cover of Frank Sinatraโs My Way
Maybe give the sequel a 2hrs run-time if needed.
