FIFA have done a lot of bad things and made some horrible decisions but expanding the teams in the World Cup has been a magnificent decision.

I don’t know a thing about soccer but I love these videos of countries celebrating.
As an American, with so much of my sports exposure being professional sports leagues and then the Olympics, where the US so often does incredibly well…it can be easy to forget how winning the whole championship isn’t the only way to win. *Making* it can be the win. Scoring a goal can be the win. Or keeping another team from scoring more…of course, it would be absolutely incredible if DR Congo or Cape Verde or any of these types of teams takes the whole thing. But like, this game is a success on its own.
They played like it’s their 100th time in the World Cup. So chill and solid defense. I hope they win 🇨🇩
