Fed Holds Rates Steady As Warsh Takes Helm: Fed Special

    Bloomberg’s Scarlet Fu and Lisa Abramowicz discuss remarks from Fed Chair Kevin Warsh following the Federal Reserve’s latest policy decision on a special edition of Bloomberg Surveillance. Federal Reserve officials left interest rates unchanged and were split over whether they expect to raise rates this year.
    Policymakers’ new projections indicated nine officials foresee at least one quarter-point hike this year, with six anticipating at least two. Another nine expected no move or a cut.

    4. Well I like Kevin short straight to the point approach. Task force will help.
      But bottom line the fed moves work with a huge lag.
      Once tariff effects and commodity shortages from the Iran war disapate inflation should come down.
      Then we can lower rates to get closer to the 2% target.

    5. Less communication could also mean I won't answer press. That was usually the good thing with US as compared to other countries. Unclear what it means to transparency. 😅

      Suddenly it's not "too late Warsh" anymore.
