This fan-made concept trailer imagines The Insect for 2026 where Dwayne Johnson stars as Victor Raines, a wrongfully convicted prisoner dragged from his cell by a black-ops military unit and delivered to Project Chimera, a classified underground laboratory in the desert designed to fuse animal, bird, insect, and sea-creature DNA into human hosts to create the perfect living super soldier. I personally created every storyboard and visual in this “What If” concept from scratch, building a story where Harrison Ford plays General Arthur Briggs, the ruthless four-star general who has spent years and billions of dollars burning through expendable test subjects and orders Megan Fox as Dr. Nyla Cross, the program’s brilliant but guilt-ridden lead geneticist, to inject Victor with a dangerously high dosage of Compound Mantis-9 despite her warnings, triggering a violent transformation that rips massive insect wings from his back and encases his body in dark chitinous armor while his face remains horrifyingly human.
Ben Affleck plays Colonel James Marsh, a cold and relentless kill squad commander deployed with helicopters, drones, and ground teams to hunt the escaped creature across a desert mountain range, but Victor is not running from the men who made him into a monster, he is learning what he has become.
Every visual in this HD concept trailer was designed and built by me to deliver a dark, grounded sci-fi origin unlike anything on screen right now, blending body horror with military thriller tension as a man transformed against his will discovers he still has the one thing no experiment can erase, a choice. This Insect concept trailer builds to a devastating return at dawn when Victor flies back to the base not for revenge but to tear open every cell door and carry out the prisoners waiting for the same needle and the same death, forcing Briggs to destroy his own facility rather than let the world see the horrors he built beneath the desert, and proving that the most dangerous thing about the weapon he created was not the wings or the armor but the humanity he failed to kill.
