Chris Hemsworth plays Dr. Ethan Kane, frost-dusted and sharp-eyed, leading the search alongside Amanda Seyfried’s Dr. Clare Bennett, ash-blonde and focused, cataloguing every sign the ice gives up while Dwayne Johnson’s Sgt. Marcus Reyes keeps the team alive with the battle-hardened readiness of a man who has never once underestimated what a hostile environment can produce. What they find is not one creature. It is an entire hidden civilization living beneath the glacier, smaller pale Yeti carrying bone spears through dens lit by clusters of bioluminescent fungus, a society that has survived undiscovered for longer than anyone on the surface has been looking. The alpha is twelve feet of matted white-grey fur and ice crystals, a tribal elder marked by a necklace of bone and tooth rather than a mindless beast, and his hostility when the team gets too close is not random. It is territorial, intelligent, and absolutely relentless once it turns. The hunt drives them into the ice caverns themselves, into a world lit by pale-blue fungus light and warm amber headlamps cutting through the cold, where first contact with the tribe becomes a standoff and the standoff becomes a betrayal when the alpha attacks again. The climax plays out on open ice, three humans against something that has owned this frozen world since before any of them were born, and the aftermath leaves the question of what they actually found sitting heavier than any of them expected.

Nine to eleven hours on this one. Building the hidden society reveal so it felt like a genuine discovery rather than a twist took serious pacing work. Multiple tools, multiple full passes on the creature design and the ice cavern atmosphere. Every frost crystal earned its place.
