    1. More women need to have this energy. As a woman is so freeing once you don’t care if men find you attractive.

Insane that this is a “hot take” or something that needs to be defended at all. Women wanting to be alive and not objectified or judged, wild.

“Labour” is a great song. But “the fruits” by her is such a haunting, gorgeous song.

    4. Getting to a point where you love the flesh vessel you’re piloting truly is freeing.

She is white blond and conventionally attractive. She has all the privilege in the world to say i dont care if people find me attractive bc most would.

No hate but it’s so much easier to hold this opinion when you’re already fitting conventional beauty standards.

I will not let my traumatic experiences with pigeons in Paris blind me to the fact that she is absolutely correct.

Been a fan for a while and saw her open for Florence and the Machine earlier this year – she had the most amazing energy!!

Really recommend her singles ‘The Fruits’, ‘Labour’ and ‘Good Boy’ as an introduction to her.

Bonus fact – the Good Boy video features Emma Thompson and Tom Blyth.

When I shaved my head, I listened to her music as I cut my hair off. I had lived all my life being criticized for my hair (and my looks) from everyone. They didn’t like the length, the color, the style, it wasn’t straight enough, not wavy enough, etc.

And then two members of my family died tragically and I realized I was beyond caring what people thought about me.

I went from being a teeenage girl literally sobbing while running a straightener through my hair and trying to do makeup, and I still wasn’t pretty enough or thin enough or good enough, to an adult who accepted she would never fit into beauty standards, so I just said fuck it, I’m done performing on a stage I never asked to be on in the first place. I wanted to go my own way, for the first time in my life.

Shaving it all off was insanely liberating. I wish I’d done it sooner. I feel like my own person for the first time in my life.

I think if this wasn’t a blonde white woman who is clearly conventionally attractive, this would feel like a more radical stance. I respect her position but if she looked differently (another race, body type, etc.), people would receive her saying this much more negatively. So this isn’t something that feels special to me

It’s insane that women just wanting to exist in their own bodies without judgement is still considered a hot take.

She’s right, but also I wish we didn’t need to put a disclaimer about how women are free to do what they want every time we criticise the rise and popularisation of cosmetic procedures, because frankly, having to tiptoe around the fact that botox/ozempic/fillers/whatever the fuck are net negatives for women as whole is detracting from the conversation. We need to be able to have an honest talk about societal expectations and the fact that these “choices” are not happening in a vacuum.

I think her music has been top 5 on my Spotify the past few years and this is the first time I’ve seen who she is as a person.

For all the people that say she’s conventionally attractive so it doesn’t matter, they aren’t appreciating the insane pressure women are facing these days. Look at Ariana Grande, Selena Gomez, or many other women that were beautiful, but that didn’t stop them from having countless plastic surgeries or starving themselves. Women are constantly bombarded with this pressure to improve themselves: Botox, filler, implants, brow lifts, Ozempic, and on & on. Being conventionally attractive doesn’t really cut it anymore, especially for women in the public eye.

I will never understand why she doesn’t have the clout TS has. She is everything that woman pretends to be. She is a much better songwriter, vocalist an actual activist. She walks the walk.

    17. It’s so freeing and so much more comfortable living this way girls I promise
