Remember Woke: The Cringe of Latin-X

Tom Hardy unironically called Bane “Latin-X.” Eva Longoria sat for a serious interview about it. Politicians couldn’t stop saying it. There was just one problem: 75% of Latinos said the word should never be used, and only 4% actually use it.

    1. Meeting with leaders from the Latin -X community in Iowa, Nevada, & California….. One of those three is not like the others. And Nevada is barely in . You only get four states that get to have a say in this issue.

    2. 3:46 you can literally HEAR that she doesn’t believe in LatinX. Her accent goes to 100 when she says Latino and Latina but turns off when she says LatinX. It’s foreign to her, it’s forced and it’s fake

    3. 3rd gen Hispanic Americans will yell "Viva Mexico, soy Azteca, and viva la raza!" Yet they dont speak Spanish and they live in Iowa. At some point they gotta assimilate and realize theyre not Mexican anymore, theyre American

    4. Why do you think woke disappeared ? You didnt put anyone in prison and did nothing to change the US, they're still there more powerful than ever.

    5. I accidentally said it the other day and was appalled with myself.

Celebrities just fall in line. They don't want to rock the boat. I bet most of them wouldn't be able to debate any of these issues.

    6. Latinx is proof that all latino ppl raised or born here, like AOC, Pedro Pascal, John Leguizamo, etc have no clue abt latino culture. Woke ppl tried to include the gender neutrality (latine, señorite, niñe, etc) in Latinoamerica but when ppl mocked to death (stand-up latino comedians did it even in festivals on tv), they took this to RAE (The Hague of Spanish lang) where all speaking Spanish countries rejected neutral gender language inclusion but Spain. Latinoamericans living in Latinoamerica only accept male/female language & they mock gender neutrality bc they only ones using it are lgbtq.

    7. if you are referring to both men and women you can say "Latin" adding the X is just a shoe horned attempt at ungendering something that wasn't gendered

    8. I have no idea wtf “Latin X” is supposed to mean. Also the need to use a Spanish accept when saying “Latina or Latino” is the fakest most pathetic bullshit I’ve ever heard.

    9. What’s annoying as fuck is these people will speak English with no accent and then they get to a Latin word and they sound like they just got off the fucking banana boat I don’t roll words. I’m not from Scotland and I’m not speaking the Queen’s Spanish I say Nicaragua the way it spell fuck that I’m not fixing to say it like Nicaraguans do it cause I’m an American not a Nicaraguan.

    10. I’m Latino. Hearing white people tell us what we should call ourselves among lecturing us on other things within our cultures was the pinnacle of hubris.

    11. I was born in Mexico City a proud American citizen for 10 years and my husband is American ❤️😊If we had kids I will team them you are American ! Thats the problem with people coming here and having kids like no you were born here in USA you embarrassed that culture . Yes , I was born in other country you have blood but everyone mix . But you love your country first . Yes , I will teach them Spanish is if they want and part of my culture but still they were born in this beautiful country and they will be raised to be proud of it !
