      Unpopular opinion: I find the jokes about them being gay to be disrespectful. It’s uncool to speculate on people’s sexuality, especially publicly, plus it discourages strong male friendships/masculine emotions. Men have long feared being called “gay” or “feminine” for their closeness to their male friends, and this just perpetuates that. At its core, it’s problematic and in part, leads to men feeling lonely.

      Disclaimer: Nothing wrong with being gay or feminine, but in this case, it’s clearly directed as an insult.
