If gets the nomination, yeah I would think that he would have a shot, but I can think of a handful of other people that I would rather see get the nomination

America, say no and keep looking. Gavin, while better than Trump, is not a transformative leader prepared to meet this moment. He’s the kind of candidate who will continue to make small symbolic changes while serving the interests of billionaires. In other words, Gavin is a recipe for continuing and prolonging the dystopian nightmare.

For my part any Democrat candidate will be better than any GOP candidate.

The level of destruction MAGA with GOP have thrown at this country is immeasurable.

This is bait. They want Gavin to win the primary. They know he is not popular amongst the broader voting populace.

He is aggressive, yes, but he is also disingenuous and looks like a Patrick Bateman wannabe. I don’t mean to make an ad hominem attack, but rather I’m making the point that he exudes an inauthenticity that will not bode well in this current political moment.

Carlson’s endorsement should be seen as poison to any democratic or left-wing candidate.

I think America should just take a year off. Just shut it down, take a breath, have some tea and rethink its priorities.

This feels like some sort of covert “oh no, not the briar patch!” thing meant to tank the dems by tricking them into overlooking Newsom’s truckload of flaws. I don’t fully trust Tuck-tuck’s change of heart.

I don’t think this is going to actually put anyone in Newsom’s corner who isn’t there already. He’s awful.

    8. AIPAC Newsom is better than Trump, but I’m voting for someone with a spine who doesn’t accept genocide bribes from a foreign state.

I think Newsom had a much better chance than Kamala. He got elected to Governor while Kamala got basically no support when she ran in primaries
      way back when.

If Newsom gets the nomination it’s the final confirmation that trumps America really is the one Americans want

Why does Alex Jones still have to be a thing? And who are the idiots giving him a platform. Tucker denounces Republicans but then talks to Jones. Fuck them both.

    12. Who says we are voting for Gavin in the primaries? This is a bullshit title. I honestly think your title is some propaganda for Gavin. They want people to follow the trends and vote against our interests. We need to go for like AOC

    13. Ordinary-Leading7405 on

The undertone of this is Trump expects to be the GOP candidate and never leave office.

    14. A_Simple_Bard on

Gavin matching Trump’s energy with his parody tweets was amusing for a bit, but I don’t see why he would remotely be the choice candidate.

    15. I mean… sure, obviously?

He’s one of the handful of people right now that everyone is talking about as a front runner for the nomination…

“Hey – you know those front runners everyone is talking about right now? Well, one of them has a shot!”

      Gosh – really??

Got it, Carlson is “done with the Rdpublican party” so that he  an try to serve us Blue MAGA instead.

Anything to avoid having actual progressives elected.

    17. LostSharpieCap on

Oh, god, which rightwing asshole is paying him to push people towards the centrist shill?

    18. Wouldn’t put it past Republicans to have Tucker “switch sides” to endorse a candidate they believe they can beat.

    19. Tucker has reduced himself to announcing he is quitting the republican party and doing interviews with alex jones to get attention. sad.

    20. TankApprehensive3053 on

I highly doubt Trump thinks Newsome could win. Trump is too much a narcissist to think anyone but himself has a chance and if someone did win (esp a democrat) he would think it’s rigged.

I would like the primary process to play out every four years, no matter what.
