My suggestion to the wonderful and amazing past and future Mormon… Emily Susan Pack… is to get one of those floor piano mats… they are electronic pianos that are also mats that are laid on the floor… the idea being that a person moves their stompy feet from large oversized musical piano key to another large oversized piano key then to the next and so on and so forth until a song gets played in full. After getting proficient at that… playing the piano with the musical floor mat using soft stompy feet to do that after a few months… then sign up for Ball Room Dancing classes.
As you can see these are both ways to get deeper and deeper into music in a very fun yet also a highly distinguished and challenging way. As merely a side benefit a lot of great exercise will be done… which will be very very life enriching. What am I preaching??? Answer: Living the life of healthy living.

Why is her hair always in her face?
Into the West will be played at my husband's funeral. I would love to be emotionally stable enough to sing it myself, but I don't know how possible that would be.
My friend in a different ward had me sing The Lord's Prayer at her husband's funeral. Through God's grace I was able to sing it through without cracking or crying, but I didn't make it one more second than was needed for me to be the voice of His love. Most of the people attending weren't Latter-day Saints because my friends converted as empty-nesters, but we all bonded and felt the Spirit of the Lord through that music, the real celestial language.
My husband wants to have Oingo Boingo's Dead Mans Party and Pomp and Circumstance! I've got to hear how she would do this ballad style!
I once overheard a conversation in which Flash Gordon told Hercules how great Mormon funerals are.

Had a good friend who got hired to play background piano music at a wedding reception. He played a peaceful version of Run For The Hills by Iron Maiden.
I had the opportunity to introduce a convert to funeral potatoes at a ward potluck. There were four different varieties. The one I picked for him was the WORST funeral potatoes I've ever had! I don't know if the person who made them forgot the salt or was trying to make a "healthy" version. To this day I feel so guilty every time I think about it
I call it "death by potato casserole"
Funny that she should mention the once Taco Bell funeral home being a "bummer"… I mean, Taco Bell is known for affecting the bum in a "peculiar" way🤪

I am going to dispute the "men name things more." Back when I was in a YSA ward, I bought a new car and the girls were just getting on my case that I needed to name my car, they had names for all their cars.
"Just ministering to people where they're at." That's such a good way of putting it.
