Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio got married in 1954. Their relationship started with strong attraction, but it quickly became difficult because they had very different lifestyles and expectations. Marilyn was a rising Hollywood star always in the public eye, while Joe was a private, traditional man who preferred a quiet life away from attention.

They often argued about Marilyn’s fame and public image, especially the constant media attention and how she was portrayed in films. Joe reportedly struggled with scenes that made her a sex symbol, and this caused tension between them. Their differences grew over time, leading to emotional distance and frequent conflict. The marriage ended in divorce in 1955 after only about nine months together.

    1. Marilyn Monroe met Joe DiMaggio in the early 1950s through Hollywood connections. DiMaggio was a famous baseball star for the New York Yankees and already a major public figure before meeting her. Their marriage in 1954 started with strong feelings, but it quickly became difficult. They often argued because of their very different lifestyles, with Marilyn constantly in the spotlight as a rising Hollywood star and DiMaggio preferring privacy. Tension grew as Marilyn’s image as a “sex symbol” in Hollywood created pressure in their relationship, leading to frequent conflict and emotional distance.

After their divorce, Marilyn married playwright Arthur Miller. However, that marriage also ended in divorce. When Marilyn died in 1962, many people were shocked that Arthur Miller did not take part in her funeral arrangements, as Joe DiMaggio was the one who handled them instead. This surprised the public, since it was unexpected that her former husband, not her last one, took responsibility for her final arrangements.

    2. Marilyn Monroe was one of a kind, and I find it sweet how he sent the roses. They didnt work out in this life time, but I'm hoping they find happiness in their next (but not with each other).

    3. It was so much more than that. The night she took the famous picture of her dress beiing blown by a vent. He physically abused her. She left him after that. Joe wanted another chance and she said no and never spoke to him again. He wanted her to be at home wife but she didnt want that
