      It is so bizarre to double down on this type of humor when it is clearly falling flat! I think these are obviously jokes and in poor taste, and a lot of the backlash seems to be intentionally misrepresenting these statements as serious, but really – I cannot comprehend why she would continue to try to make the same or similar bad jokes.

      Her son is an individual who will now grow up with this bullshit over his head for decades. He, personally, didn’t do anything wrong, but his selfish parent made him the subject of her navel-gazing drivel, and he’ll end up paying the price.

      My mom never shared embarrassing “funny” stories about us, and always respected that if we wanted to share details of our lives with the people she was talking to, we would. She would talk about us in broad strokes with no detailed personal information because it wasn’t hers to share. She said knowing someone as they’re growing up is, in her words, “sacred” and she never wanted to abuse that trust and safety.
