Didn’t even know season 3 started lol
Yea season 2 was a snooze fest
They space them out too much people lose interest. When the first one came out I was a huge fan but they took so long for season 2 that i lost interest and now the same for season 3. I haven’t even watched the first episode I will get to it. But wish they released them much closer.
I liked the show, but after the last pricehike I said goodbye.
Season 3 episode 1 made up for the last 2 seasons
The whole series is so drab and without humor. Takes itself entirely too seriously. A knight of seven kingdoms is far superior.
I’ll watch another GRRM production after he finishes Winds of Winter.
Until then, fuck GRRM.
Edit: Didn’t know so many people loved giving fame and fortune to a guy who abandons his projects and essentially says “fuck you” when pressed on them. An 8% decrease after 2 years and a disappointing previous season is really not bad, especially in the streaming age

Those seem like incredible numbers. Way better than I expected.
Nobody wants to pay for HBO at the current price, and now that they’re owned by The Technofascists I’m ABSOLUTELY never paying for it again. So there’s that
8% is totally insignificant, and more attributable to the controversy over the quality of season 2, but irate tv-watchers want evidence that increasing gaps between seasons is driving away viewers.
To be fair the second season was pretty shitty so I’d be glad for only 8%.
The World Cup is being played right now as well, look at the viewing numbers and decide why people aren’t streaming much else

Game of Thrones shit itself so long ago it’s almost surreal 21M people are still vested in the franchise.
Season 2 was some of the worst writing and pacing of a television show that I’ve ever seen. It was not to the standard I’d expect from HBO. I’m not surprised people aren’t willing to come back.

Maybe it’s different in the streaming age but back in the age of cable, it seemed like a show keeping even a fraction of viewership over multiple seasons was a win.
Maybe it’s the way they ended season 2.
Season 2 turned me off from the show. I may watch the new season, but not until it’s over and I can watch the whole thing.
