“Lumumba Vea” is a DR Congo football fan who’s famous for covering his mouth at matches in protest against the world’s silence on the violence in Congo.
Lumumba Vea also honours Congo’s independence hero Patrice Lumumba, he is known for recreating the Kinshasa statue of Patrice Lumumba, Congo's independence leader and an anti-imperialist symbol, in the stands.
On a related note, I recommend watching Soundtrack to a Coup d’Etat, which evolves around Lumumba’s assassination.

Great that he does it. Related question: I thought Fifa doesn’t allow political statements in stadiums, any reason this is?

**”They will try to kill me and plunge the Congo into endless wars because they know that a united and independent Africa, both politically and economically, would mark the end of their dominance and the beginning of our true freedom.”**
Patrice Lumumba, the Congolese anti-colonial leader, foresaw in 1960 what happened in the Congo; he was dismembered and dissolved in acid by Belgium and the USA
