He seems so genuine at all times really, but especially when he’s talking about giving advice to young stars. I love Dan forever.
We know he’s not kidding because Rupert Grint disappeared for a bit and had bought a Mr Whippy truck and used it to give out ice cream for fun.
Pretty sure those kids should have all made in the neighborhood of 10 million for the series, especially the last season, so hopefully they managed their money well enough, they probably can afford to do whatever they want
Dan picks such interesting projects, I’ll always watch something if he’s in it. He did the cutest little rom-com with Zoe Kazan and I love it so much.
I remember seeing an interview quote from Finn Wolfhart who plays Mike in Stranger Things not long after Stranger Things finale. He was talking about how he’ was in a very privileged position where he’s made enough to live off from Stranger Things so he can focus on passion projects. It felt like a very healthy attitude to have.
At the risk of coming off as parasocial (though it’s not how I mean) think he is probably genuinly one of the most down to earth, lowkey celebs out there. He did the thing as he put it, is rocking and rolling with all the side quests he could ever want, and with a seemingly lovely family to boot. Good for him.

Devils advocate here. Maybe look at how that worked out for the twilight series kids
Good upbringing in early years by support (decent parenting or otherwise, support) makes for being a grounded adult, even if you slip a bit you still will have that firm background to prop you up.
Well said and needed to be said. They have spent 10 years of their youth, their entire adolescence essentially, making one of the biggest tv shows of our time. They have accomplished so much, and had so much taken away from their youth. So let the kids do whatever the rest of their careers, they all earned it. The emotional and intense acting that each of these kids had to endure, just for us to have this great show, is enough for them to definitely rest their careers on.
P.S. Gatens Pizza movie was hilarious and amazing. I did not expect it to love it as much as I did. It was a wild ride. Plus it has Lulu Wilson (the haunting of hill house/ Wrath of Becky) which is a win for me.

This is a really lovely sentiment in general, but I feel like there’s one particular cast member who really needs to be discouraged getting doing the things he wants to do.
That’s actually such a cool moment, he’s basically just telling them to relax and enjoy it now after everything they’ve done on the show.
