Oscar Snubs | Amy Adams in Arrival
One of the most egregious acting Oscar snubs so far in the 21st century is Amy Adams for Arrival. Here’s why she missed! #academyawards #oscars #bestactress #amyadams #arrival #emmastone #lalaland #merylstreep #natalieportman #ruthnegga #isabellehuppert #annettebening #emilyblunt #2016 #oscarsnubs #theawardscontender

I love Emma Stone, but I would have given Amy the win that year.
Should have won. Cant believe they chose Stone Streep and Negga over her
As Much as I love Arrival, Adams was the weakest part, as she gave an Emotionless Peformance
jake Gyllenhaal in nightcrawler next
This situation just showed how irrelevant the Oscar should be…
Simple answer : This is all ISABELLE HUPPERT's fault in Elle. By winning the golden globe for an actress in Drama against all odds Huppert completely shoke things up in the 2017 awards season.
Natalie Portman was said to be the frontrunner for Jackie in the Drama category and yet she lost to Huppet at the Golden GLOBES. Natalie Portman and Emma Stone were said to be the frontrunners at the beginning of the 2017 season. But Huppert surprising weakened Portman's chances and kept her from having a momentum. A critic choice award was not enough for Portman to be serious contender to the Oscar.
Furthermore, by winning the Golden Globe of best actress in a Drama Huppert took Amy Adams spot to the OSCASr, when a actress win best actress in a drama at the Golden Globes, she always get a nomination to the OSCARS.
Huppert's win at the GGn not only kept Portman from winning her 2nd Oscar, but it also kept Amy Adams to get a OSCCAR nomination by taking her spot.
LET'S TALK ABOUT IT! Finally, the video I've been waiting for, for years now.
I felt she should have won the oscar for this role at the time. But her lack of even a nomination when she very clearly deserved it, forever changed how I would see the oscars
Amy Adams was truly the Best Actress of 2016 and the movie itself was the Best Picture of 2016. Denis was also the Best Director of 2016, and Max Richter was the best composer of 2016.
Why do we always forget that Amy Adams is the second most nominated actress in the supporting actress category!!!!
In my opinion Emma Stone 100% deserved her oscar win, but Amy Adams should've been nominated too
Thing is, I think Stone still would have won because of La La Land push but Adams not even nominated is stunning
I think she should have swept the season. La La Land is one of the most overrated movjes ever and Arrival is one of the best in my opinion.
As a movie I preferred Nocturnal Animals
She is among a handful of actors who swept the precursors but snubbed by the Academy,
snub or a nomination? Heck, I’d say she should have WON that year. 😠
A bit off topic, but let’s take a moment to acknowledge the actors who stepped up their acting after working under PTA on The Master: Amy Adams, Rami Malek, Jesse Plemons. I also think it was it was among the best work of Philip Seymour Hoffman and of course Joaquin Phoenix.
24:41 I would.
Her and Toni Collette for hereditary
I remember seeing Arrival in a movie theater in January and I had the impression that not enough people saw the movie. The Scifi category seems to get a bad rap at the oscars.
Seriously, who the hell remembers Florence Fosters Jenkins? Meryl is a great actress, but she literally stole Amy's spot there
Amy la seule femme au monde qui est plus belle sans maquillage qu'avec
I know it’s not a popular opinion but I’ve quite always appreciated Meryl’s nomination that year. But yes I do think Amy should have gotten a nod in the same year too.
