Complete statement:

“It’s a disaster World Cup; a disaster,” I mean, FIFA, they have to solve every problem here but unfortunately they could not solve it since the beginning. Mr Infantino came to our changing room after the first game against New Zealand and said, ‘It’s just the beginning…’ but the group stage finishes tomorrow. We don’t have our logistic people here — they don’t have a visa.

How is it possible we always have to travel from Tijuana? We love the people in Tijuana. We love Mexico. They are humble people and we love them but as a professional player in a professional competition, it’s not right.

It’s not fair, Our opinion is, it’s not fair. Is it fair for FIFA? OK, good to them. But it’s not fair. Who wants to help us? If they want us to be out, then OK; let’s get out. But that’s not fair. We don’t have recovery or logistic people to help us. We always complain about these things but no one helps, no one.

(About VAR decisions) That's about the football. Sure. But we complain about outside the football because the details are important in football, and recovery is one of the important things. Small details affect football.

We have to fight against everything here, I don’t know what people want. As we see it from our perspective, yeah, they like that I think…How possible now, 90 minutes you play with a lot of stress, a lot of these things on our shoulders, then we have to go back again to Tijuana. You imagine we pass the group stage tomorrow, we get our luck, and we pass the group stage but we don't have any recovery. How possible is this? Just explain to me if you know."

    1. Watching them win and then the point get retracted was an absolute roller coaster for me. And then they made another close shot and missed by a smidge. They got so unlucky it’s heartbreaking. They still have a chance to advance but it’s dependent on three outcomes happening at the games occurring today and I just don’t see any of them happening.

    2. Tijuana is closer to their games then their original base camp its a 30 min flight. Most teams also dont exactly stick around after games and maybe theyd actually score if they didnt jail two of their players. Keep Sardar Azmoun and Mohammad Rashid Mazaheri in your thoughts everyone.

    3. I mean FIFA doesn’t care about the players or the integrity of the game, that’s always been the case

FIFA suckssssss – Iran played with their heart with all odds against them.

Ruining the beauty of the game at a moment we all need this moment of togetherness.

The way the Iranian team is treated is horrendous. My heart breaks for them.

FIFA is just an arm of this administration, and we know they have no integrity and punish all just by association!

Iran has a great football team, one of the best from Asia. My dad’s friend who worked there in 2010s used to say that even their amateur sides can beat many top national teams.

It’s heartbreaking to see this happen to any team in a global event but specifically with a good time like Iran, who really had chances to move forward into the knockouts, it is both frustrating and heartbreaking.

    8. Never forget who awarded the orange skinned pants shitter his phony Nobel prize.

They’ve had to play with so much baggage on their backs. Impossible task.

The Mexicans being wonderful to them doesnt make up for the lack of hospitality and respect from America (the government, not the people).

Add in the protesting Persians in the crowd and, it must have been a lot for the lads. Exhausting and pressured; no fun at all.

Iran is not one of those countries that you just teeheehee with. Trump does all this and when things go sideways, he sends the military to clean up his wrongdoings. I don’t know what kind of threats that 🍊 has going on these organizations but it’s pretty damn sad.

Also, if the US wins because the men are actually good, nobody will believe it and the victory will be tainted because that man.

    11. Fuck FIFA & Infantino. He is making Sepp Blatter looks like a saint.

Between the “chill” comment and the way he gleefully goes to almost every match, he is probably trying to show that he is the boss!

Oh man, they played their hearts out. I hope they can advance and after seeing this, FIFA actually does something. Here’s hoping.

FIFA sucks but also the Iran soccer team wanted the Seattle Pride March cancelled because of their own bigotry so my sympathy is strained.
