He really seems like a cool guy and just the mayor that NYC needed.

    1. The more I see of this guy the more I like him, hope he does well for new York and America

    2. I’m not American, so pardon my ignorance, but why is this particular mayor constantly posted on here?

    3. woah!! why would they skip this! it’s genius to jump in your suit when everyone else is not. or maybe it’s just fun when zohran does it. maybe i woulda clowned cuomo for doing that.

Jeez, that seemed like a dangerous jump. Wasn’t expecting it to be so shallow 😂

WHY IS HE STILL WEARING SHOES!!!!

Edit: Consensus is it’s socks, socks are fine

This warms my heart as someone who grew up spending all day everyday at NYC public pools in the summer. Free swim lessons, free bagged lunches for kids, it was simply the best.

It makes me so mad he can’t be President even though he’s a naturalized citizen. When I see him and the response he gets from crowds it reminds me of Obama campaigning for 2008.

I can’t believe there some people out there hate this man. He’s on the right track, right attitude, right mind.

    9. My dad used to do something similar at his job at a country club, he was always known for wearing a suit so when the pool opened he’d jump wearing his suit (he later made it a worse for wear suit so he wasn’t ruining his good stuff) and he’d have an old cell phone in his pocket and be like “OH NO! MY PHONE!” and everyone would laugh.

Now if I showed him Mamdani doing the same thing, he’d call him a poser…..

Amazing how popular a politician can be when he decides taxes should be used to benefit the people that paid them instead of blowing up kids in the middle east.

lmao I remember when he was first asked if he would bring back the tradition (I think Bloomberg was the last mayor to do it, in trunks and a t-shirt) and he was really intrigued but said he might do it but only in a suit. The man kept his word 🙏🏽

    12. Politicians should absolutely do more goofy stuff like this. Pardoning turkeys, cutting ribbons with comically oversized scissors, etc etc. Secular rituals are important.
