    1. Wow. This is the same author as Never Let Me go. I was rather hoping for it to go a lot more emotional damage, but Taika did that with Jojo as well so… Not sure….

    2. I really liked the book so I'm excited for the movie. Taika has done a great job with other films like Jojo Rabbit so I am optimistic. One of my favorite things about the book was how Klara described things that she saw before she was able to process it. Like describing a horrible many-legged monster running down the road before she realized it was a woman running with her dog. I don't know why those visuals stuck with me so strongly but I hope the movie translates some of them onto the screen.

    3. There are 1×10^82 atoms in the observable universe and if the word DISLIKE were inscribed on every single one if them, it would not equal a billionth of the dislikes this trailer deserves.

It is a haunting, devastating book and a great lead actress and both are going to be utterly wasted.

    4. I love this book, I love Taika’s movies, I’m keen to watch this. I agree that the tone doesn’t seem exactly right, but it’s hard to tell from a trailer. I predict this will have the same heartwarming yet gut wrenching effect as ‘Boy’ and ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople.’
