Rembrandt painting was altered to erase turban from man’s head, restorers find. An unknown hand covered up artist’s depiction of diverse crowd during influx of refugees to Leiden in 1620s.

      I wonder how often things like this have happened – it’s popular to talk about the whitewashing of history but examples like this are pointed.
