      Call me crazy, but I feel like he is going to use his claims about the reflecting pool to cut off public access to the mall. He is just setting the stage.

      The reflecting pool is genuinely hilarious.

      Nobody cared about it. If they had renovated it quietly and failed you’d maybe have a local article about it. The corruption itself is very minor compared to some of the insane things that have already happened.

      Yet because Trump just can’t keep his mouth shut and take a minor L it became a national story.

      It’s the same thing time and time again with these “strongman” governments. Their fragile egos prevent them from hiring anyone that might question them, so they only have incompetent yes men or corrupt cronies around them. For a historical perspective, watch Chernobyl on HBO.

      What is hilarious is the “strongman” thing only works for a short period when you come into an administration that is either experiencing a boom or was floating on a functional government before. Which is what happened with Maduro and the oil boom. So Trump deposed a leader in his own form.

      I will never get tired of repeating: park police is equipped with night vision since like 2008. Countless pot smoking GWU students have been caught this way. Zero chance that with PP + NG you get anyone messing with their incompetence.
