18 years ago today, Jay-Z became the first rapper to headline Glastonbury and trolled Oasis after they said rap had no place being there. He came on stage playing their song Wonderwall then flipped it into 99 Problems

Back when phone cameras were absolutely terrible, Back when you needed a digital/disposable camera to get your photos. always refreshing to not see a sea of screens.

    4. I was there! Man, 18 years ago. I feel OLD.

IIRC you could still get a ticket a couple of days before the festival the year he was on. Those days are long gone.

This is too funny, imagine going to see Jay Z and then he starts doing Wonderwall?

Shit title. He sang Wonderwall and then played 99 Problems afterwards

    11. that bloke from oasis said i couldn’t play guitar somebody shoulda told him i’m a fucking rockstar *today is gonna be the day that i’m gonna throw it back to you*

That also had the Back In Black version of 99 Problems too, which goes hard

    13. I was hoping he was gonna blend the two songs. Jay Z + Linkin Park’s Collision Course is still on heavy repeat in my car after all these years and I’ve been waiting for another two big musical acts to mashup more of their hits like that album.

This is so incredibly unbearable. I’m no fan of Oasis or their opinions but I have always thought Jay-Z mostly sucked as a human and as a musician and this is just further evidence

People were listening to oasis in 2008? Rock has been repeating itself for a long time.

The Gallagher brothers have always been complete and utter dickheads.

How anyone can stand them, I’ll never understand
