Yeah, she was also sorta isolated from the rest of the kids during filming as well? Like the other ST kids were mainly with each other while her character was sometimes with the kids but mostly El was with Hopper or Brenner.

I mean beyond “missing out” cause of her work she also just seemingly mainlined “being an adult” so fast
as soon as the show ended she got married and adopted a kid at like.. 21?
good on her tho hope she’s happy

This is actually incredibly sad and something I hope she sees a therapist for someday. A lot of kids grow up with this kind of experience, where they relate to adults more than their own peers because of not having the opportunity to be a kid first and have that social emotional growth. Kids are not supposed to act like adults. It’s developmentally stunting in an invisible way that can have life-long consequences.

She seems incredibly grounded and “normal” for someone who grew up in the spotlight as the star of one of the biggest shows of the decade, worldwide.

Lots of people are socially awkward. TBH, I can’t relate to a lot of Gen Z’ers. T’is life 🤷♀️

As someone who grew up as the only child of a later in life single parent, this actually is a problem when you end up around adults as much as children around your own age. It makes you… just a little bit weird lol. I can empathize with her on that.

I’m rooting for her every step of the way. I hope she’s happy and continues to be. I love she’s always authentically herself.
