      As someone from one of the protesting countries, this feels bad lol. Really feels like they’ve got their replacement for our countries so it’s all good, they can continue to run cover for a country attempting genocide

      No offence to Canada, but Eurovision is becoming something I can’t get enthusiastic about. We have countries like Canada and Israel but not actual European countries, because they choose to protest against a genocide. Sucks

      Until Israel is banned or stops the occupation of Palestine, I’m okay with skipping it. This is a desperate manoeuvre to bring more audiences, but the EBU is a scrupulous organization that allows Israel’s propaganda machine to keep on working.

      I know me saying it won’t change a thing but I hope Canadians don’t watch it.

      Cool, can’t wait to keep not watching it. They’re blatantly just getting desperate because countries keep pulling out over their decision to keep Israel in the contest.

      This would have been really cool news a few years ago, but I just haven’t been able to bring myself to watch the last two and most of my IRL friends feel the same way.

      They’re hypocrites and my own country has been spineless by continuing to enable it.

      I’m sorry but what is the point of Eurovision then? It’s silly enough that Australia is involved and now canada? It’s simply no longer EUROvision then is it? It’s worldvision

      The EBU trying to replace the countries boycotting due to Israel over…actually kicking them out. It’s a shame, my love for this contest has died down

      As an Irish former Eurovision fan as of only the last few years…they have never looked more money hungry and idiotic as now. It’s not about Europe or music anymore.
