Elton John To Perform After Death As He Signs Multi-Million Pound Hologram Deal

I think that’s a great deal. He gets millions of dollars here and now.

Some particular company has the right to use it after he is gone.

This has been a thing for _decades_. We had the Tupac hologram and a few others, there was supposed to be a Judy Garland one at one point I remember, etc. There has been a lot of success in this area.

I really don’t see anything wrong with him wanting to cash another cheque before he dies despite how rich he is lol and honestly I think the concept is cool, if it’s not modern day AI based and more like it has been in the past it’s a projection of a real performance, I’d be curious about seeing one.

Elton though I feel may only have success with this _well_ after his death. I mean I just saw him live a few years ago lol, and he was fantastic/sold out but this has a different appeal. The people I saw at his actual concert mostly were clearly there to see him specifically in _real life_, which obviously makes sense, I was too, and most of the crowd leaned MUCH older than me. People who probably would never go to this.

I’m someone that normally hates this kind of stuff but I think people would go to these and that these holograms will be a part of our future in the entertainment industry, but that maybe some time needs to pass for the audience desire for it to build with Elton and a lot of other iconic artists, especially as this isn’t a new thing.

I don’t have a problem with people approving this while alive. It’s when the estate tries to capitalize on it that it becomes a problem. Ozzy’s family claim he approved it before he died.

Dio’s wife seemingly just took advantage of new technology and I found it distasteful.
