    NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani speaks on finding his wife on dating app Hinge, revealing that he fell in love with her at first sight, and says they both ended up deleting the app after meeting each other

    “I think I was in love from the moment I saw her photo. I screenshotted her Hinge profile before she even matched back… I’m very much a romantic… And then when you meet the love of your life, to actually be living what felt like a fantasy when you first saw their face, it’s hard to believe.”

      I met my soulmate on hinge and was also basically in love at first sight!! I told my mom and friends the next day that I met my future husband. That was a little less than a year ago, and yesterday we picked out my engagement ring!!!!!!!!! 💍

      Every day, I am so glad that we elected him. That enthusiasm and that caring about people just came through and that was one of the reasons why he got my vote, but now the whole country in the whole world is seeing that.

      That story about meeting his wife and everything, I was just so cute.

      And isn’t it refreshing to have a mayor (or any politician) who not only knows how to use the internet and knows culture and everything, but who can actually laugh at parasocial relationship with an understanding of what is actually being talked about. And laugh about it because he gets it.

      I know that as a politician he’s going to have some level of being able to blow smoke. It’s a necessity for the job. But being married to the love of my life, the way he talks about his wife is like “yeah, I like you already, but no one who talks about their partner like that is fibbing”.

      I think my problem in love is that I am sometimes a golden retriever and sometimes a black cat, so I’ll never be able to find me my Rama & Zohran romance until I commit fully to black cat status. But they are goals.
