It really isn’t. Anne gives off classy queen behavior!

Knocked up is such a dumb and bad movie. Great career move passing on it.
That shot of the baby crowning added absolutely nothing to the movie either. Playing a natural, beautiful thing as a joke and gross always rubbed me the wrong way.

Dude idk what deal E! used to have with knocked up but they played it CONSTANTLY 😭 I think I’ve seen the movie in full but through bits and pieces from me passing by it while channel surfing. It looked awful.

Well the role didn’t do Katherine Heigl any favours.

It’s funny to me how often it gets confirmed someone (Katherine H) wasn’t the first choice for a role. I wonder does this annoy actors when these things get discussed publicly

That movie was hilarious

At the time it was seen as a bad decision because the Judd Apatow-associated comedy movies were having a renaissance (Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, etc).
It also definitely was not her brand – she was 23 at the time of filming and was most known for Princess Diaries, Ella Enchanted, and maybe Brokeback Mountain – and I remember some folks painting her as uptight for dropping out.
But I think the decision aged well.

That movie felt like well-disguised pro-life propaganda.
Juno kinda gave me that vibe, too. In an unplanned pregnancy, having your baby works out best, even if you’re not in a relationship or you don’t keep it.

Anne has said so herself, including right after the movie came out. Wasn’t the right person for the part.

I went to that movie in theaters when I was 17. With my parents. I sat in the middle. That sex scene where he thinks he’s going to hit the baby with his dick is forever seared in my mind. I don’t think I made eye contact with them the rest of the evening.

I hate Knocked Up so much 🤣 it’s one of my least favorite movies

Isnt this the movie Katherine Heigl was labeled ‘difficult’ thus ending her career? Idk but Seth and them kinda seem toxic something feels off

While I am sure that was the reason given, the entire script was hot garbage and that was just part of what was off brand. Anne’s brand is good movies.

I also wonder if that deleted Brokeback Mountain rant about the lack of male nudity rubbed her the wrong way? Or maybe it’s possible that she agreed with it?

I don’t watch many movies, and for some reason my wife and I chose to watch it on a flight. I still have PTSD…
